Yulmburral to Week 10.
Community is an important feature of a Catholic School experience. The remainder of the school term will provide several opportunities for parents to engage with the school to promote this with your children.
Sunday is the P & F Working Bee. The only project for the morning is the preparation of base for the Junior Playground Gym. It would be great to see many parents especially from Prep, Yr 1 and Yr 2 come along to improve the playground for their children. Tiles will be lifted Sunday morning with the sand being delivered during the last week of term. If you have an hour to spare between 9am & 12pm please come along to lend a hand.
On Tuesday is the annual Athletics Carnival. We would love to see as many parents and friends come along and support the children as they compete throughout the day.
Wednesday evening is the Semester One Life Long Learners BBQ & Disco. This evening is to celebrate a variety of successes during Semester One. A BBQ serving sausages and hamburgers will be available from 5:30pm. Thank you to the Yr 1 Parents who are serving in the tuckshop and cooking at the BBQ on this evening as their commitment to the P & F roster. The Awards will include the Life Long Learners Awards ( 2 per class ) and the various Age Champions and runner-ups from the Athletics Carnival. Following the awards a fun disco will be available for all. The evening will conclude at approximately 7:30 – 8pm.
Then on Thursday morning all students will engage in a variety of Indigenous learning activities as part of NAIDOC Week celebrations.
Friday is the last day of Term 2. Reports will be released through the Parent Portal. It is essential that the school has a current active email address so as to access school reports. Please ensure the school has your current email address.
There will be an ‘Under 8s Morning’ on the Friday. Details will be made available via class dojo.
Enrolment Interviews for the 2019 Prep intake continues. We are very close to closing the enrolments for the new cohort. After we reach 26 Prep students any new applicants will be placed upon a ‘waiting list’. If you know anyone who is looking to enrol their child(ren) encourage them to do so as soon as possible.
The annual School Satisfaction Survey will be opened for a period of 2 weeks commencing Day 1 in Term 3. A reminder of this survey will be made via emails and Facebook postings.
Have a good week and I look forward to seeing many parents on Sunday morning in the Junior Playground.
