As we go to press, we find ourselves delivering a brief Newsletter of Term 2. Most communication has already been shared via Broadcasts, Seesaw messages and Facebook posts. It is important that parents continually refer to these channels of communication to stay up to date with advice and news relating to life at Saints.
Thank you to everyone for your efforts and understanding in supporting the home learning program. The latest advice is our current situation will continue until the end of Week 5. Hopefully we will be in a position for the government to advise all students to return to school at the start of Week 6. In regards to delivery of the home learning program, we can take great pride in being identified from CES as being a school well prepared and able to deliver content for every student across digital and paper platforms. Our shift 4 years ago to resourcing the school so every child has access to a digital device has enabled us all to be best placed for this unforeseen disruption to traditional classroom learning practices.

Communication has been published outlining the P & F Levy and Activities Levy have been dissolved for Term 2. Any parent responsible for paying school fees and has a means tested Health Care Card is eligible for a 100% Tuition Fees concession. To ensure equity and social justice, families who are able to demonstrate genuine financial distress are invited to make an appointment with the Principal to explore options available. Each situation is considered and responded to case by case.
There has been advice to schools to relax some Covid 19 management strategies. Students are now able to be within 1.5m of each other and to play together with shared sporting equipment. Parent drop offs / pick ups are still to occur at the school gate on Grogan Street. Only adults who work on site or those who have emailed / phoned to request entry to school are permitted to be on campus.
Enrolments for 2021 have commenced. Anyone with a child / sibling or knowledge of a family seeking an enrolment are encouraged to complete an online enrolment as soon as possible. Given the financial challenges occurring in the current climate, the enrolment application fee has been waived for all 2021 enrolment applicants. Advice from CES is all sibling enrolments do not require a Principal enrolment interview. Sibling enrolments will be accepted automatically on receiving an application from the parents / caregivers.
Stay safe
