Yulmburral and welcome to Semester 2.
It’s great to see everyone safely back for a new term of teaching and learning. There has certainly been a cool edge to the start of each morning. To ensure children are comfortable for learning the uniform has been modified to permit children to wear navy blue or black track pants / tights. All other areas of the uniform policy remain as written.
We welcome Mrs Chantal Ives as Yr 2A classroom teacher on Wednesday and Thursdays for the next three weeks whilst Mrs Ottone enjoys some Long Service Leave. Mrs Ives regularly does relief work at Saints and her presence will ensure student learning continues without disruption.
The Annual Satisfaction Surveys for parents, students and staff are open for weeks 1 and 2. I encourage all to take the opportunity to provide valuable feedback that will be used by School Leadership and the Board to take the school forward in 2020 and beyond.
Enrolments and interviews for 2020 are underway. Please spread the word in the community that places are available in Prep and most year groups.
A letter has been distributed to all parents this week providing attendance data for their child(ren). Attendance rates have improved across all year groups and all parents and children are to be congratulated for this significant achievement. Greater attendance will lead to a stronger learning culture and students will definitely benefit in their learning and understanding.
During the holidays, major repairs to the roof of the Administration Building were undertaken. This continues the rotation of capital maintenance and repairs of all school buildings.
Thank You
