In the Catholic faith, Easter is not just a single day of celebration—it’s an entire season dedicated to celebrating our new life in Christ. Easter in our Church is celebrated for an extended period of time—50 days to be exact!
Following on from Holy Week and the celebrations of Easter Sunday, we have now entered Eastertide – the longer Easter season – which will end on Pentecost Sunday. During this fifty days of Easter we relive the joyous events of the Resurrection, Ascension, and the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. We pray that the blessings of the Easter Season continue for each of our families!
Lord, the resurrection of Your Son
has given us new life and renewed hope.
Help us to live as new people
in pursuit of the Christian ideal.
Grant us wisdom to know what we must do,
the will to want to do it,
the courage to undertake it,
the perseverance to continue to do it,
and the strength to complete it.

It was lovely to watch everyone so excited to be back for the beginning of Term 2. With the heavy rain we experienced in the first week of term, it certainly has been a very wet start to the term. We now have two short weeks in a row due to the ANZAC Day and Labour Day public holidays. Nevertheless, we have returned, full of enthusiasm for the term ahead…and so ready for learning!
