The Mossman Show has come and gone for another year and it was great to see our school so well presented. The small display space makes it extremely difficult to showcase all the great teaching and learning that occurs within our school. It’s a testimony to the efforts from teachers, School Officers and students that there was plenty of evidence of quality work on display. St Augustine’s School was also the winner of the Best Banner from the NAIDOC March last Friday.
Next week is Catholic Education Week (CEW), as a school and as part of a wider family of Catholic education, we have much to be proud. On Wednesday we will be the centre of attraction as we host the Western Deanery CEW Mass. All are very welcome to come and participate in mass. Mass will commence at 11:30am.
From 12:10pm on Tuesday Grandparents will be our special guests. Grandparents will visit classrooms and the school community will have a shared snack in the junior playground.
The Annual Satisfaction Survey will be closed on Monday. As I write this report just over 50% of parents have completed the survey. I encourage as many parents / caregivers to do this survey as feedback is used to dictate future decision making by School Leadership. Please take the opportunity to have your say.
In conclusion, many students from Yr 4 – Yr 6 participated today in the Interschool Athletics Carnival. The feedback is that we have many performances to celebrate and all students were great ambassadors and displayed wonderful sportsmanship. Next week a list of results will be published.
Until next week – Catholic Education Week, have a super weekend.
